Since the beginning of the year, Ukrzaliznytsia’s plants have built 70 gondola cars
Since the beginning of 2017, 70 gondola cars have been built at the plants-branches of PJSC “Ukrzaliznytsya”.
The company’s press service informed EP about it.
According to the message, orders fulfilled Darnitsky, Popasnyansky and Stryi wagon repair plants.
“In addition, the railwaymen renewed in the conditions of Darnitsky and Stryi wagon repair plants planned repair of 4.647 thousand freight cars and 404 gondola cars repaired overhauled. Of these, 2.368 thousand units of freight rolling stock belong to private enterprises,” the report says.
“The fleet of grain cars is also updated – to meet the needs of shippers in the transport of grain and grain cargo, since the beginning of the year Ukrzaliznytsia has repaired 746 grain cars by depov repair. In total, the working fleet of grain cars for 2 months increased by 28 units and is 10.978 thousand”, – informs the press service.
As noted, in 2017 it is planned to repair 4.792 thousand grain cars – for comparison, in 2016, 5131 hopper-grain cars were repaired.
“Ukrzaliznytsia repairs grain carriers by its own forces, in the conditions of wagon depots. Grain carriers were repaired in depots Znamenka, Pomoshnaya, Podolskoye, Kherson, named after Taras Shevchenko, Zdolbunov, Poltava and others,” the company said.
Earlier, the President of the Association of enterprises “Ukrmetallurgprom” Alexander Kalenkov said that metallurgists in the second half of 2016 could not smelt about 3 million tonnes of steel due to the unsatisfactory work of “Ukrzaliznytsia”.
As reported, Ukrzaliznytsia plans to build at least 3,000 gondola cars at its own facilities in 2017.
